TIME CHANGES BUT THEY DON’T

Remember, when you first saw this world
with your beautiful eyes
Couldn’t speak just smile and cry
Remember, the hands you hold
To take the first step and walk
Remember, the time you couldn’t wait
To run home straight
Remember, when parents were the solution
To all the problems and illusion

Are you running back in time
To recall the things which made you shine
You grew up with all their love and care
And now you say it’s hard to share
Share a house to live in
To held their hand
In times of those thick and thin
Were you supposed to change
In the name of mature become strange
Advices they gave, path they directed
Became a reason you conflicted
Because you were distracted
Towards the easy wrong and addicted

It’s a wake up call, don’t complain
Know,It’s never too late to start again
It is the time to let go
Learn from mistakes and grow
It’s not about the overrated generation gap
The realisation hit me like a slap
I think i grew up that night
And gracefully gave up the fight.
